But directly or indirectly and by which means of communication depends on the researcher\u2019s personal attitudes, the field of science where he or she works, and academic policies.<br \/>\nThis event, first held during CinemAmbiente 2022, is devoted to scientists who have engaged in the popularization of science through films, books, or podcasts. Taking part in the event will be the winners of the Aldo Fasolo award for the popularization of neuroscience, promoted by the doctoral program in neuroscience, University of Torino, in collaboration with the Associazione InToBrain, addressed to scientists around the country.<br \/>\nA round table discussion will be held by members of the award jury panel, the award winners, their colleagues, and experts who devote a major part of their work to the popularization of science.<br \/>\nThe debate will be presented and moderated by Giulia Alice Fornaro, editorial office of FRIdA (Area Valorizzazione Ricerca e Impatto e Public Engagement dell&#8217;Universit\u00e0 di Torino), a communication workshop that promotes participation in research in science and the humanities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Round Table<\/strong><br \/>\nOpening remarks by <strong>Giulia Anastasia Carluccio<\/strong>, prorector of the University of Torino, <strong>Andrea Calvo<\/strong>, coordinator of the neuroscience doctoral program of the University of Torino, <strong>the Scientific Committee<\/strong> <strong>of the Aldo Fassolo award<\/strong> (Silvia De Marchis, Francesco Ferrini, Ilaria Gabbatore), Lia Furxhi, director of the CinemAmbiente Film Festival, and the <strong>Fondazione Compagnia San Paolo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Speakers<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Francesca Turco<\/strong>, chemist and creator of the podcast \u201cMolecole in Scatola\u201d [Molecules in a Box]<br \/>\n<strong>Stefano Fenoglio<\/strong>, zoologist and author of Uomini e fiumi: storia di un\u2019amicizia finita male<br \/>\n<strong>Veronica Orazi<\/strong>, professor of Spanish literature and vice-director of the doctoral program in digital humanities<br \/>\n<strong>Livio Favaro<\/strong>, ethologist and creator of the crowdfunding project entitled \u201cSalviamo il Pinguino Africano\u201d<br \/>\n<strong>Alessandro Perissinotto<\/strong>, storytelling teacher and writer<br \/>\n<strong>Luca Pezzini<\/strong>, environmental storyteller<br \/>\n<strong>Enrico Cerasuolo<\/strong>, documentary film director and screenplay writer, president of Zenit Arti Audiovisive<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FRIDAY, 7 JUNE CIRCOLO DEI LETTORI 10:00 AM Scientists have been increasingly called upon to talk about themselves and their research in response to multimedia inquisitiveness.
