THURSDAY 8TH JUNE, CINEMA MASSIMO – SALA SOLDATI, H. 4:00 pm<\/p>\n

This year, for the first time, a training project <\/span>has been <\/span>organized by CinemAmbiente in collabor<\/span>a<\/span>tion with ENAIP (Ente Nazionale Acli Istruzione Professionale), the largest educational agency in the Piedmont Region. <\/span>During the course,<\/span> the students <\/span>had to <\/span>produce three audiovisual pr<\/span>ojects<\/span>: a<\/span> short<\/span> fiction film, a <\/span>short <\/span>documentary film and a commercial, all focusing on a common theme, water<\/span><\/p>\n

Documentary (<\/span>project <\/span>tutor<\/span> En<\/span>rico Giovannone) <\/span><\/p>\n

The absence of <\/span>precipitation<\/span>, rising temperatures at high altitudes<\/span>,<\/span> and other related phenomena show the impact of the accelerating climate crisis on mountain ecosystems. Through the testim<\/span>o<\/span>ny of a farmer, an anthropologist and a park ranger<\/span>,<\/span> who live in the Alpine environm<\/span>ent, we see the relationship, also cultural, that man has developed with natural resources.<\/p>\n

In a couples therapy session, Marina is sitting in one of two chairs. She is nervous; her heart begins to race. Her husband is lat<\/span>e, which makes<\/span> her feel <\/span>he does not value her<\/span>, and when he fin<\/span>a<\/span>lly arr<\/span>i<\/span>ves, the two begin to argue. At first glance, they may look like a normal couple, but they have a characteristic feature: Marina represents water while Raymond represents humanity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fiction (<\/span>project <\/span>tutor<\/span> Valerio Filardo) <\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

In a dystopian Turin, where drinking water has become a luxury good, Francesca can’t afford clean water, and her daughter is in mortal danger due to dehydration. Francesca decides to ask for help <\/span>from<\/span> her older brother Giuseppe, who is tangled up in shady dealings. Th<\/span>is<\/span> deliberately extreme scenario, sheds light on the following question: What would happen to an ordinary woman in our society if she ran out of one of her most precious <\/span>possessions<\/span>?<\/span><\/p>\n
