{"id":2748,"date":"2023-05-29T09:25:29","date_gmt":"2023-05-29T07:25:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.festivalcinemambiente.it\/?p=2748"},"modified":"2023-06-01T15:11:17","modified_gmt":"2023-06-01T13:11:17","slug":"one-planet-one-future-multimedia-exhibition-by-anne-de-carbuccia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.festivalcinemambiente.it\/en\/one-planet-one-future-multimedia-exhibition-by-anne-de-carbuccia\/","title":{"rendered":"One Planet One Future Multimedia Exhibition by Anne de Carbuccia"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_medium\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_grid cols_1 laptops-cols_inherit tablets-cols_inherit mobiles-cols_1 valign_top type_default\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 25\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>June 5th \u2013 August 30th 2023, Palazzo del Rettorato \u2013 University of Turin, via Po, 17<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Inauguration with the presence of the artist\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Monday June 5th \u2013 5.45 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 26<sup>th<\/sup> edition of Festival CinemAmbiente presents, together with the University of Turin, a multimedia exhibition, edited by UniVerso and dedicated to the artwork of the environmental artist and director <strong>Anne De Carbuccia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Anne De Carbuccia<\/strong> uses the language of art \u2013 photographs, installations and movies \u2013 to document the damages caused by humans on the planet, <em>\u201chow much we still have, how much more we can lose and how much we had already lost<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of her work is to raise the public\u2019s awareness towards the environmental crisis that we are living through, inviting everybody to change our consumption habits that contributed to its creation.<\/p>\n<p>Her images, caputered in the most remote places on Earth, are a tribute to the endangered subjects, oceans and habitats in peril, animal species and cultures and they are a ruthless examination of the disastrous effects of Anthropocene, the new geological era where the human impact dominates over the natural cycles.<\/p>\n<p>The artworks by <strong>Anne De Carbuccia<\/strong> document the beauty and the richness that we are so quickly losing and they are an urgent call to imagine a different world. With an hourglass and a skull, symbols of time and transience of life, and with other objects retrieved during her expeditions, the artist creates installations full of environmental symbols in terrestrial and marine landscapes. \u201c<em>The skull is not a symbol of death, but it reminds us to use our time on Earth to take positive actions. In Vanitas there is no death, but only choice. You look at Vanitas and you stop losing time, it is one of the most positive symbols ever created<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Anne calls this installations <em>TimeShrine<\/em> to honor the subject sacredness and to warn us that, because of Anthropocene, it is running out of time.
