At age 33, her first publication was widely acclaimed by poets and critics for its originality. <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Over the next three decades she published 16 volumes, including <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Residenze<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">invernali<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Notti di pace occidentale<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Il <\/span><span class=\"s4\">catalogo<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">della<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">gioia<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Isolatria<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Historiae<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, and<\/span><span class=\"s4\">Geografie<\/span><span class=\"s4\">,<\/span> <span class=\"s2\">which garnered her numerous l<\/span><span class=\"s2\">iterary <\/span><span class=\"s2\">prizes, including Diego Valeri, Montale, Frascati, Viareggio-Repaci, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Pascoli<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Pu\u0161kin<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, and Cesare Pavese.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s3\"><span class=\"s2\">Her early works contained verses that demonstrated her ties to the earth, her roots, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">an intimate tension of strong words and character common to contemporary female poets, and her ties to the earth conceived as a work of growth and evolution of trees, grass, landscapes, continents, and woodlands. There<\/span><span class=\"s2\">\u2019<\/span><span class=\"s2\">s always someone watching something; there\u2019s always something happening that we the reader <\/span><span class=\"s2\">see<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> through her <\/span><span class=\"s2\">web of <\/span><span class=\"s2\">words<\/span><span class=\"s2\">. <\/span><span class=\"s2\">According to Roberto <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Galaverni<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, in <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Nuovi<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">poeti<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">italiani<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">contemporanei<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, Guaraldi: \u201cA remarkable ability to capture feelings and em<\/span><span class=\"s2\">o<\/span><span class=\"s2\">tions in <\/span><span class=\"s2\">sturdy<\/span> <span class=\"s2\">f<\/span><span class=\"s2\">ormal structures, in refined arabesques, full of tenseness and existential hopes.\u201d <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Gian Mario Villalta states in <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Il <\/span><span class=\"s4\">respiro<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> e lo <\/span><span class=\"s4\">sguardo<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, BUR<\/span><span class=\"s2\">: \u201cWhat captivates the reader is the percept<\/span><span class=\"s2\">i<\/span><span class=\"s2\">on of a <\/span><span class=\"s2\">gesture proffering a word.
